Is Investing too scary?

Is investing too scary?

The first rule of investments is: If its too scary to invest an amount, don't invest!

It's not worth the stress for you!

(Not to mention that it's not fair to your fellow community members, that have to deal with your fears all day long).

FanBox is a growing site, and the Knowledge Investor is a new product. There will be bugs. There will be hiccups. There will be learnings - for all of us.

Please note that an approach like this (providing this type of self-service capability to a web-based community) has never been tried before, and we simply do not have the manpower or capability to provide personal technical, emotional and psychological or most other types of support.

Also, I am not customer service. I do not have access to your personal accounts, so asking me questions about your personal situation or account is not a good use of your time.

I cannot emphasize the following point enough:

If you cannot afford to part with your money for a while, or if you cannot help but become very stressed as a result of your investment, DO NOT INVEST!

Why not wait to see what happens through your fellow community members?

If it works out for them, then in a few short weeks or months -- you can try your hand at being a Knowledge Investor too.

FanBox -- and Knowledge Investor - aren't going anywhere. So why not sit this out, and let the others "take the plunge" first?

And for God's sake, if you do invest, please:

1) Invest a VERY SMALL amount, so that (no matter what bad things happen for any reason -- such as payouts taking a few extra hours, or FanBox being down this weekend for a few hours for repairs) you hardly even notice, and

2) After you invest, take a chill pill and relax. Think of how blessed your life is. Think of how beautiful the birds and the trees are. Think of how much you love your kids, your boyfriend, your ex-wife, your cat.

Thanks for listening.

Like we always do (after every major product launch) I promise you that we'll get through this initial period of uncertainty together...

... and before you know it, we'll all understand how the product works, the bugs will be out, the fear will subside, and we'll all be happy campers again. Cool

You said JC! If you're not 100% confident in FanBox and the new investing feature then DON'T invest...it's when everyone is cashing out their earnings less than 60 days from now is when your mind can be put at ease...until then DON'T stress out Johnny Cash and the rest of the FanBox team!

Investing online is fun, but you need to be extra careful, as a rule in investing...invest only the amount you can afford to lose. :)
