A few updates

Hello everyone! A few updates:

 

1.  Are YOU ready to be empowr’s next President?

As discussed yesterday, empowr needs a new president, and if you think you might be a candidate that can represent empowr citizens, employees and Success Coaches, now is the time to begin thinking about it.

To be eligible, you need to first be a Success Coach (SC).

 To become empowr’s next president, citizens must first build a proven track record of providing value to the empowr community. The first step towards doing that is by becoming a Success Coach.

Here’s how it works: 

A.   To become a Success Coach, you must first reach the Orange Star Power Level

B.   From there, you can test your knowledge of the empowr platform by passing a series interactive modules which can be completed in a matter of hours

You can even earn $1,000 just for passing the modules:

 A few updates

C.  Once you pass all of the modules, you’ll officially become a Success Coach and will begin automatically receiving clients (students) of your own

D.  As you gain more experience as a Success Coach, you can take on as many or as few clients as you wish and will even earn monthly bonuses based on your performance

 

If you are interested in learning more, or need any help along the way, please contact empowr’s SC representative, Mila Sorensen, and she’ll be happy to assist.

Please note: To be eligible for running in the next empowr presidential election, it is highly recommended that you’re first a Success Coach for about 6 months.

If you’re interested in becoming the next empowr president, you should begin working towards this now as time is running out (the next election is in March 2017).

 

 2.  New Marketplace Search

For the first time ever, you can now search the entire empowr marketplace for the products you want to purchase!

empowr’s marketplace has received a facelift with larger images, the ability to search for specific terms or categories, as well as the being able to bid/purchase straight from the search results so that you can close the loop with others in a more efficient way.

A few updates

Be on the lookout for many more additions to the empowr marketplace, including improved usability so that you can see the shipping cost of items directly in the search results and whether an item is a premium blog or not.

Reminder: When submitting products for sale, no digital content (recipes, ebooks, photos, etc) are allowed. If you wish to sell digital content, you can create a premium blog listing.

Any digital content that is categorized as anything other than a premium blog will be rejected, which will affect your ability to hit your Daily Goal as your listings will no longer be auto-approved.

 

3.  Inviting contacts to your Circle of Trust

With the marketplace improving on a daily basis, and the increased productivity from empowr citizens hitting their Daily Goal, we’re now at a point where the network effect is ready to kick in...

... which means that the empowr economy will be growing at an ever increasing rate leading to larger cash outs, even more products and services for you to purchase, and much, much more.

Many of you are already seeing this happen as you have been adding your friends and family to your circle of trust at an ever increasing pace.

While the time to grow is now, we’re also aware of the pitfalls of growing too fast. To control empowr's growth, please keep in mind that empowr may not invite all your contacts immediately when you add them to your circle of trust via the invite page. Invites sometimes take days or even weeks to go out.

Don’t want your contacts to be emailed or reminded? Just visit your privacy settings
A few updates

To ensure your contacts are not emailed (if they haven't been already) or they are not send reminders (if they have not yet signed up) simply uncheck that Yes checkbox.


4.  Miscellaneous fixes

In addition to all of the exciting things I’ve detailed above, the empowr engineers have been hard at work to squash some bugs affecting several key areas:

1)   Blocked Power User subscription purchases – Citizens have reported that they were unable to purchase power user subscriptions over the past weekend and/or have had their purchases pending. This will has been resolved and anyone with a pending purchase will have that amount added back to their empowr balance within the next 24 hours.

2)   Rejected marketplace listings – Since the launch of the new auto-approval system, some of you have reported that your listings were being rejected without being provided a specific reason. This has now been resolved.

3)   Dog pages/server errors in the marketplace – the engineering team is aware of the errors popping up in the marketplace and should have these resolved in a matter of days

 

 

5.  And finally, a word about Accelerated Matured Cash Outs (AMCO) at the end of August

With just 3 weeks left until the end of the month I’d like to remind you all again of the importance in hitting your Daily Goal every single day.

A few updates

The more days in August that you hit your Daily Goal, the larger your AMCO will be

For example, if you hit your Daily Goal 30 times during the month, your AMCO cash out will be 30 times larger than if you only hit it one time.

Also, your ability to shop in the marketplace will be 30 times greater, with that same example.

Each each day that you don’t hit your Daily Goal, represents a lost opportunity for yourself.

 

How do you hit your Daily Goal?

Hitting your Daily Goal means that you hit your goal in ALL 4 of the activities (Bid, List, Post, and Share) in a specific day.

On any day, if you hit your goal in only one, or two, or even three of the activities, but not all four, then you did NOT hit your Daily Goal.

·       You must complete all four (4) activity goals for the system to consider your Daily Goal hit.

·       You do NOT need to achieve any of your BONUS activities for your Daily Goal to be hit.

·       For the Listing goal, you need to list Products.  Listing Services and Premium Blogs does NOT count at this point towards the listing goal. 

·       For Product listings: Digital eBooks, photos, recipes and other items that are easily found on the Web for free, are considered low value, and will not count towards your goals. You can list those as Premium Blogs, not as Products.

Thanks for the update. I would like to add to the Empowr citizens that are listing items, please do not list as free shipping and then under shipping say the price will be calculated after address given. Read the listing procedures before listing. There is one more thing I would like to bring up, those of you who have blogs that are recipes and then put them as a monthly fee. I report these because the monthly fee is if you update your blog not just make someone pay monthly for the same recipe.

If shipping cost is free in listing but in descrition seller mantion then it is must be rejected. And monthly subscription is also seen by approving person if it suits or not the rejection is must.

Apesar de muitas coisas solucionadas ainda á alguns dias atrás tive problemas ao adquirir a posição verde, pois a mesma foi descontada duas vezes em meus saldos e o meu treinador de sucesso (SC) não pode responder em tempo hábil e não consegui reembolso. Mas apesar ainda das falhas do sistema tenho caminhado para o sucesso com a #empowr e em breve também serei um #treinador de sucesso (#SC) e quem sabe em um futuro até mesmo presidente...

Hello J.C., is there a good explanation how it works with, if i put a product in the marketplace and it is sold, where does the money goes and when do i receive it on my paypal. This is the question i get from a lot of old and new people.
If there can be made a blog from J.C. that give a step for step explanation, that will be great.

I even surgest that it would be made possible for payment after recieved product arrived, in an Marketplace-AMCO or so.
Remember we (the seller) still need to send a product and either pay about 10 dollars a product or the reciever (the buyer) has to pay the sending up on arrival to the mail man.

In addition to your suggestion , perhaps make the shipping cost portion of the sale be immediately available for cashout to the seller. This will improve cash flow to be able to continuously enable the seller to provide more products. Impose actual shipping costs versus an auction starting at 0.01 with $100.00 shipping for an item. (use the reserve price to ensure profitability)

Great news. Thanks JC.
I face some other marketpalce glitches too. When I try to pay my winned auctions or products, sometimes Options like my balance, credit card and paypal appear. When I try to pay with PAypal I get validation (-0.01,+0.01) and my item remains unpaid. If I try to pay with my balance I get a message to try later and that my payment could not be processed. What really worried me is the fact that when I try to pay an Item the balance that appears in the options sometimes is different from the balance i have on available to buy or sponsor screen. Any ideas?

Great to see improvements being vigorously worked on and implemented. This can only add to the confidence level.
I wish there was a way to delete or avoid being presented with fans who have not been active to an unreasonable amount of time. Closing circles with someone who has been inactive for (example 75 days) is a bit discouraging to those who are active daily. There might be an algorithm to determine your last visit and not allow an inordinate amount of "likes" on a page. Much like the daily limits - impose a "low activity" limit. Until of course you become and remain activity in the Empowr community.
"likes" are like currency now so they must be , I feel , spent wisely. ( this is all on the premise that closing circles and other activity affects your community score)

Hi JC,
Always happy for any changes to better the Community and the marketplace. Really glad to see great improvements in the marketplace happening, the bugs fixed or getting fixed, the AMCO which is stressed more than enough by JC that "NO DIGITAL PRODUCTS", so we can move fast and close the loops) and the upcoming election for the new President. Working as synergy everything will be possible and have a fast growth that we need to hit Empowr's goal in 2017 to be no 10 in the list globally. This in turn will benefit every citizen who worked hard and Empowr a great place to be for decades and not only for few years.
Changes proves that Empowr with the great leaders, awesome engineers and all the staffs behind the scene are working so hard to make all these happening. Thank you Empowr for being open hearing all our suggestions/complaints for some and any inconveniences from citizens and hope we can give our best. Empowr rocks and so with the Community and to all involved.

Yes, I hope empowr can hit top 10 global site by 2017! That would be an amazing achievement and if that happens empowr will for sure monopolize this industry via the network effect! I can't imagine how greater empowr will be once it achieves critical mass... :)

Very good post, but I have a question if possible answer please, Can we have a BUTTON(Delete) for products in Marketplaces? Because we have a lot of products maybe sold that give us confusin in our Market. I hope this could be a good suggestion Empowr team, thank you veruy much anyway for your hard work.

Thanks JC for the great updates again. It really improving our site by day. Market place is really improving day by day.
I have one question about hittng daily goals in a single day. This single day will consider of our local time zone or systrm will consider USA time zone. I am 7 hours earlier when the enpowr server date changes. So I start my gaol earlier then the server date change. So my work and my goals will be count in a single day or I have to start my goals on San Deigo time zone. I am hitting my daily goals according to Pakistan time zone.

Thank you for these updates, JC.
There still are many errors in the Marketplace: many Premium Blog Packages listed as products (books), many blogs wrong cathegorized. IE: a blog describing a travel destination -> Tourism, a recipe -> Cooking, a no matter what ... -> Everything Else, a blog about cosmetics -> Health and beauty and so on! Haven't you noticed that?
Many blogs have a monthly fee and you have to pay monthly this fee without receiving anything in exchange!
There still are many photos providing nudity and we can't report these users or these photos!
There still are many users providing in their comments or "status updates" affiliate marketing!
I think the empowr team knows what I am talking about and these issues will be resolved!

Thanks JC for the updates. Most of the time i am getting Early cash out available now but did not get link to activate Early Cash out and I am unable to cash out. Do you have any suggestion for it. Are we able to cash out the AMCO at the end of each month, because AMCO will reflect as Early cash out, but we are unable to cash out ECO. Is that mean we need to use AMCO for power upgrade and marketplace. Please let me know your thought process on this. Thanks.

Hi JC, Thanks for the wonderful blog update. I have been reading the blogs, especially the last one and this one. In regards to the Daily Goals, I hope there will be a new change on Daily Goals sometime. I cannot get all 4. Although I can do 3 goals so far. I'm sorry. To me, listing is the difficult one for me to do. I have been posting some status update on this as well. There are some that can do all 4 daily goals and some that feel the same way. I do hope it should be just Daily 3 (Bid, Post, Share) and take out listing or make the daily goals different. Or another one would be, what is it if you get all 3 and not all four of the goals? I wish there is something on what if you attempt all 3 goals and not 4... I have read on the previous blog that someone also mentioned similar as well. I do agree with that person that was mentioned on the blogs previous blogs about what if we don't hit the daily 4 but we get 2 or 3 completed. Other than that, I'll still think of ideas or comments. I hope to hear from you. Thank you!

Hi Ms Elle,
I can understand your feelings but every citizen should understand that posting, sharing, listing and bidding are all inter-related to each other that if you remove any one of them, the system would collapse. Lets say if everybody opts out from posting, where would you get posts to share or if everyone opts out from listing, from where would we get items to buy/bid. Please make a habit of selling something what may be invaluable to you but of course would be worth from others' view point. Wish you good luck to achieve all 4 daily goals in the coming days. I wish you all success on empowr.

Hi Mila and Hi Regan, thanks for your comment reply. Good input you guys have. I know listing should be important and that all four are inter-related to each other. Others I know can do the daily four, but what about others that cannot do all four but 3 of the Goals or 2 of the Goals?

But within the last few days, I can mostly do the 3 out of the four which are (bid, post, and share). Also, I just feel there should be an incentive for those who completed 3 out of the four or 2 out of the four daily goals for those who cannot do the daily four. For those who can do the 3 out of the four, they should also get some incentive too. Those who can complete the daily four as usual, I know that's awesome. I do like sponsoring other people's items if I can't be able to personally sell. Maybe Sponsoring with the listing/selling category... for the daily four...
If there was a new daily four and listing is not take out on the daily four, it would be something like this:

Listing/Selling/Sponsoring
Bid/Buying
Share
Post

I'm not sure if that would work, but that is if sponsoring is among the category of selling/listing. I was even thinking sponsoring should be on the daily four near with listing/selling...

Our country banks do not accept checks , empowr does not accept my visa card and paypal does not receive payments for my country . Bank wire cashout or any payout system which works for all countries ( ex. Skrill ) could be very helpful . Thanks for attention

That's the same problem we are facing here in Cameroon. And there is another problem with early cash out. I have had a series of early cash outs but have never succeeded in cashing out. Each time I try and my cash out key is sent to my phone, many email address always show up and I end up loosing the money. I have complained about this issue until I am tired. I am almost loosing hopes on empowr, which I have build for over two years.

Thanks so much for your efforts JC.
But i have a very serious problem Which needs immediate attention. I have been downgraded from 2nd degree purple to first degree blue power user, on the basis that I didn't have enough earnings. This is so absurd. It has never happened before. I have been here for over two years and working so hard. Though I have never cashed out, I have always been up-to-date with my monthly fees and each month I have been earning enough to either renew or upgrade my power level. So I don't understand what happened to my earnings that I was unable to be upgraded instead. I reported the issue to my coach and he sent me a reply which did not tie to my account at all. And to my greatest dismere, my coach was changed, something which has been happening frequently for sometime now.

Why does empowr allow clients' coaches to be switched at random? When this is done, how do the coaches actually follow up their clients and effectively and efficiently resolve clients' issues? I suggest that new success coaches be given new clients instead and this issue of switching coaches without clients' consent be looked into. This is bringing alot of disorder in here.

I appreciate the many improvements that Empowr is working to implement. I also believe that some of the listings people use to list were not valid items and it is good to remove those from the marketplace. However, there are items that can be sent electronically that do have value, items that can save people time are worth buying for some, but your post makes those items sound like they don't have value and should be rejected and removed from the marketplace.

I was so glad to see that the approval/rejection process will provide more info as well because there's nothing worse than a listing being rejected for no stated reason but I would ask that perhaps they reevaluate what leads to being banned from listing. After all we are all working hard to meet our goals. If something happens and due to a misunderstanding several items are rejected together, then I'd have to wait 7 days before I can list anything again. That's 7 days I can't meet my goals at all. I'm not sure what a better solution might be. Perhaps requiring watching a video series on listings, or some way to gain back the listing capability.

And as others have stated, we would all LOVE the ability to edit a listing, or delete it if there's an error when we list. Hopefully these are in the works. Also, it would be nice to be able to remove old listings from the I'm buying and I'm selling pages. or to archive them where they don't come up on the same list each time.

I am loving the way it looks in the marketplace but there is something wrong with the advertising department
if I have $100, $300, or whatever amount in total for advertising then it only uses like yesterday Aug-08-16 empowr Ads Ads −$3.00 then that tells me there is something wrong in that department or they cannot met the advertising needs when I even had the pay per click as high as $1 dollar and it still only used $25 or $35 dollars then rest went back to my 90 day or 60 day balance.

Regarding hitting Daily Goals, I'm copying this here because my last two Success Coaches have not been responsive and it is costing me. I don't know what else to do and I'm FRUSTRATED.

I won a "Bid" on several digital items with "Automatic Sponsoring" The problem is that once the item got sponsored "Automatically", Empowr contacted me to let me know that it did not qualify to be listed. They recorded it against my records, and now I can't get them to approve any "Real Products" (Tangible Health Products) that I have "Listed for the past 8 days. This means that there is no way for me to complete my tasks daily anymore. This means I don't qualify for AMCO due to no fault of mine. I have ALWAYS completed my assigned daily activities.

How can they allow products to be presented to me, tell me that I can sponsor the products automatically when I win the "Bid" and then penalize me when they automatically "List" the item and refuse to let my new "Listings" count for daily activities for the last 8 days so far? This is patently unfair.

I would appreciate some input from Empowr admin on this too. -. Thanks -

Dear JC,
Thank you for the update.
My concern is empowr keeps listing and approving my digital products and I am hoping it is because they cannot be had free on the net.
When marking a listing as draft it lists.
Presently I cannot make blog as the icon picture does not show. The pop up is too small to see all the features. Pretty sure this is an easy fix but I do not know how to do it. And judging by all blogs without a good picture this is not an isolated occurrence
My message system does not reply.
I have a community rating of 588 which is noted as excellent on same message 139 unpaid sales against me. That would not happen if the system was working as it should
Receiving many cancelled sales. Talking 100s
Have $167.67 unutilized top ups from my paypal.
Balance to shop $676.15
My issues are not isolated to just me but each I talk to feels they have been lead to believe it is either problem with their computer or an issue so rare that they are the only one suffering.
I have not been able to access my I've sold page for over 7 months which means I cannot leave feedback to buyers.
I think, it's been so long since I've seen it I have forgotten.
Yes I am looking forward to the new improved marketplace.
Is there reason empowr cannot out source techs, to remotely access or team viewer each citizens account, to fix what to them would be very easy fixes.
I would gladly forgo my months AMCO to have this service

From my standpoint, it is important to make comments that are aimed at improving the future of Empowr and making it possible to grow as a reputable, reliable eCommerce portal.

There are many technical issues still with platform and the accounts. But, I do not think this is the place to open that "Pandora Box"
What I want to point out is the current state of the marketplace. Close to 95% of items listed for sale are recipes. In terms of value added for an economy and for an organization that wants to grow as reputable to attract business owners seeking to sell their products, making recipes the main niche market that is selling in Empowr is self defeating. This is issue needs urgent addressing if we want to build an Empowr as reputable and as a serious eCommerce portal the like of Amazon and eBay.

I truly think Empowr can be successful. However, that will require some serious Corporate Strategic Planning. I have not seen this even understood correctly.

Hi Idriss, thanks for reaching out. What you're mentioning is exactly what JC brings up in a couple of his previous blogs. This is the reason why only Product count toward your daily goals. This is empowr's way of ensuring that quality items become the main component of the marketplace. As a community, we must be sure that what we're listing is of quality-- if you're listing something, make sure that it's something that you yourself would by. This should help phase out the less lucrative, meaningless items currently for sale.

Yes, Mila.. Thank you for your kind reply. However, it is unrealistic to think that an individual has in their home, items to list everyday, to meet their goals 365 days a year. That is not going to be the case. One is lucky if they can find items of value in their belongings they can list everyday for a full month. We need to look at these monthly goals in a realistic manner, not mere theoretical thinking.
There is an option to be considered: Empowr citizens referring small business owners to open accounts and list their products. Those small business owners may have inventory large enough and of high quality enough to meet the demand from buyers both inside and outside of Empowr. For this to be feasible and sustainable, few technical and marketing aspects will need to be ironed out.
In short, the three points I want to make are:
1. The sooner we get rid of recipes being sold at Empowr, the better
2. Individuals do not have unlimited items of market value to list everyday, meet their goals and keep it for a long period of time. It is not even realistic to think it as a possibility let alone an option and a viable strategy.
3. Only businesses with large inventory can have a regular supply of listings of which value matches the competition and keep it in a sustainable manner.
These are the issues that need urgent focus and a planning approach.

Idriss if I understand you correctly we would not allow sponsoring because I am a business and I do allow sponsoring here but if I had to list my other products on this website, I would need the money right away to stay in business so there would need to be a way to pay out as soon as items sold or within net 30. I would never allow sponsoring of my items. I want to sell and get my profit.

Thanks for updating important announcements.

With the thoughts on bringing our new empowr president,
It is a really good idea, but I don't find this is the right time to initiate in our community.
Working with Brian in past, he has come up with a business background and has a great vision towards improving our empowr marketplace like we are seeing it these days. There is a lot more to do - including sponsoring cases, disputes, identifying real transactions, work around to help sellers, authenticated AMCO with real transactions, bringing many coaches, listing moderation, fixing important bugs, issue tracking system, and much more if we look into other features.

We love to have Brian continue as our President for few more years until we stabilize our sources and economy. We can later think of having/ training our next empowr leaders.

An economical, realistic and mutually cost effective way to introduce quality products to the empowr marketplace is through dropshipping with benefits accruing to both empowrians and empowr.

Benefits to empowrians:
- you sell quality products to your customer that you don't physically have in stock or in your place of residence
- you do no shipping. The dropship company carries the stock at their expense and ships directly to your customers.
- No more worries about what you have left in your house to sell.
- You will be on the right track if you can source products from dropshippers at low prices and sell with a high profit markup (buy low sell high pricing strategy)
- You don’t have to borrow money from the bank and purchase in bulk to resell running the risk of a basement full of products that may never turn over
- You can purchase one or more products at a time from most dropshipping companies and still get low pricing.
- You simply list the product on empowr once you have an arrangement in place with the dropshipper. The dropship company holds and manages the stock at no cost to you.
- Once you get an order and it’s time to ship, you pay the dropshipper the purchase and shipping cost and there you have it. All done hands-free. Your profit on sales will be reflected in your empowr balance
- With dropshipping it thus becomes possible to offer new lines of fresh valuable products on an ongoing basis 365 days/year.
- Cumbersome order processing taken out of your hands saving you time and money
- More time to focus on meeting goals and less time is spent turning your house upside down to find something to sell

Benefits to empowr:
- reaching critical mass much sooner with lots of product with value to keep the economy stimulated.
- Receive advertising revenue from dopshipping companies by offering them advertising of their dropshipping services on empowr.
- Going this route will quickly assure a competitive advantage as we approach critical mass.

Empowr then provides us with a list of reputable dropshipping companies we ought to be buying products from that is in accordance with the current product listing policies.

I observed that when something is bought, appears only payment option with Paypal or Credit card.
Maybe it's a mistake or flaw, but that would be a good opportunity to warn that it's over between bidding and
who wants to buy that thing, may bid further, he will know he has the chance to buy that when bidding deadline expires.

I put on sale in the Marketplace - Online Auction (One-time purchase) - an Electric Skateboard with Starting Price = $ 10 and $ 250 a reserve price
I set my Auction Ends In 10 days, and Earn more by allowing buyers to Sponsor (Resellers)? Yes 30 days.
1. If seven days is not any offeror or, if bids are lower than the price I receive the message as before.
2. If the price offered is lower than the reserve price, the auction, to be paid with money from the balance. (Occur option payment of balance)
3. If the price offered reached the reserve price (not see the option, payment of the balance).
     Occur only version (Paypal or credit card).
The auction will continue until the end of the sponsorship period (30 days) .but with paypal or credit card money.
Everyone wins correspondingly- seller's asking price, and bidders get what investing - money (after 90 days) or cash immediately.

I hope I translated so as to understand what I wanted to express.
